Coldstore Construction Services creates new food packing and distribution facility in Evesham

WR Refrigeration’s Coldstore Construction Services operation is providing a large packing and distribution facility for a company supplying fresh produce to major supermarkets. Divided into seven phases, the WR business has designed and installed more than 20,000 square metres of mineral fibre wall and ceiling panels at the new facility near Evesham. The project includes the provision of chilled distribution, storage and preparation areas over three levels from basement, ground floor distribution and first floor offices. It also features the installation of a full height fire wall rated to four hours. This facility has more than tripled the size of the customer’s original capability–enhancing the service to its customers and greatly increasing capacity. By working closely with the project manager, Coldstore Construction Service has been able to update and re-design the building and will continue to do so in future so the facility is best able to meet the customer’s requirements. The project has also benefited from Coldstore Construction Services’ successful partnership with Eurobond Limited, who has supplied components ranging form mineral fibre panelling to doors and trims. By working closely together, the two companies have ensured that the customer has received an efficient and cost effective flow of materials throughout the project.
