WR was a finalist in three of the 13 award categories (a great achievement in itself). We were highly commended in the category of 'Training Initative' because of our work in setting up the CO2 facility at our Birmingham premises; hydrocarbon training received by many of our engineers and the gaining of the City & Guilds 2078 Refrigerant Handling certification. Paul Arrowsmith - Engineering & Compliance Director won the award of 'Environmental Pioneer - Individual' based on his work in drafting the British Refrigeration Association's code of practice to reduce leaks; his work in setting up the CO2 and hydrocarbon training in WR and his efforts in moving WR towards achieving accreditation against the ISO 14001 Environmental Management system.
